Jill Garber Couture
Lamp Black 19 th. C. Hand Embroidered Silk Crepe Grace Shoulder Bag with Elaborate Fringes
Jill designed her couture pattern for this ultra feminine textile shoulder bag her Western style loving clients had so often asked her for. She loves fringed bags that are reminiscent of the early styles of Country Western songstress' Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynne. Named Grace after a beautiful fictional character she often writes about.
So often textile or tapestry shoulder bags, though practical, have very little distinction in style. The bag reflects the the fantastical dance style of Isadora Duncan - just imagine if she had been a Country singer!
Utilizing the most luxurious fine 19 th. C. natural dyed silk crepe carefully salvaged from hand embroidered Canton and Manton Trade Shawls for the elegantly curved flap front, with inner body and lining constructed in textural tone on tone creme linen for strength and durability - Jill uses every inch of her divine hand knotted twisted silk tasseled fringes along the front flap of each of these divine bags.
These bags are engineered and sewn so that there are no visible inner seams, and every detail is meticulously had finished with love and care in our USA studio.
