Jill Garber Couture

Pale Yellow 19 th. C. Hand Embroidered Silk Crepe Isabelle Shoulder Bag with Fringes

$1,250

Jill designed her original couture pattern for the perfect, opulent textile shoulder bag  she and her clients had dreamed of for years.  She loves this bag so much that she named it ISABELLE after someone who is very special to her.

So often textile or tapestry shoulder bags, though practical, have very little distinction in style. The bag reflects the romance of Alphonse Mucha's art Nouveau Style, couples with the fantastical dance style of Isadora Duncan.

Utilizing the most luxurious fine 19 th. C. natural dyed silk crepe carefully salvaged from hand embroidered Canton and Manton Trade Shawls for the generous flap front, with inner body and lining constructed in textural linen for strength and durability - Jill uses every inch of the divine hand knotted twisted silk fringes along the front flap of each of these glorious bags.

The top of the purse flap is gently ruched along the top seam giving each bag its  uniquely elegant and flowing feel.

These bags are engineered and sewn so that there are no visible inner seams, every detail is meticulously had finished with great care in our USA studio.
